At Kiducate (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of our educational books, reading pens, and learning materials. This policy outlines our return and refund procedures in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) No. 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) No. 25 of 2002.

  1. Statutory ECTA cooling-off Period (7 Days)
  • In accordance with Section 44 of ECTA, you are entitled to cancel your purchase within 7 days of receiving your products, without reason or penalty.
  • Conditions for Cooling-off Return:
    • You must notify us of your cancellation in writing within the 7-day period.
    • The products must be returned in their original, unopened, and unused condition, with all tags, seals, and original packaging intact.
    • You will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us.
  • Upon receipt and inspection of the returned goods, we will issue a refund (excluding original delivery fees) within [Insert Days, e.g., 30 days].

    • You are responsible for arranging and paying for courier services to return the item to us.

  1. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods (CPA Warranty)

In accordance with Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, all goods purchased carry an implied warranty of quality.

  • Implied Warranty Period: If a product is defective, damaged upon arrival, or not fit for its intended purpose, you have the right to return it within 6 months of delivery.
  • Electronic Items (e.g., KiiTab Reading Pen):
    • If your KiiTab reading pen exhibits a manufacturing defect within the 6-month period, we will inspect the device.
    • If the defect is verified as a manufacturing fault (and not caused by physical damage, liquid exposure, drop damage, or unauthorized repairs), you are entitled to have the pen repairedreplaced, or to receive a full refund.
  • Return Courier Cost: We will arrange for our courier to collect the defective or damaged item from you at our expense.
  • Processing: Once we receive the product and verify the defect, we will process your repair, replacement, or refund within [Insert Number, e.g., 7 – 14] business days.
  1. Refund Methods
  • Refunds will be processed using the same payment method you used for the original purchase (e.g., EFT, Credit Card, or Payflex).
  • For EFT refunds, we may request verification of your banking details (such as a bank confirmation letter) to comply with anti-fraud regulations.

How to Initiate a Return

  3. We will respond with the return address or arrange for a courier collection if the item is defective.
  4. Please ensure returns are securely packaged to avoid damage during transit.
